Prayer for Manitoba
- Pray for the prosperity of Manitoba and the wholeness of all those living here (Jeremiah 29:7)
- Pray for God’s people in Manitoba to be an empowered witness for Christ in word and deed (Acts 1:8)
- Pray for a great movement of Christ to sweep through the province resulting in a great harvest of souls (Acts 19:9-10, 20)
Prayer for Our Political Leaders (1 Tim 2:1-4)
- Pray for the 6 evangelical Christian leaders running in the election (see below).
- Pray for a high level of engagement among believers in voting and in running for office.
- Pray for the salvation of those who are running in the election that do not know the Lord.
- Pray for the personal lives of all those who are running; for their families, for a deepening integrity, character, and the ability to withstand the pressures of public life.
Prayer for Key Issues Facing Manitoba
- Education: Pray for the continued support of Independent Christian Schools and homeschooling; and the restoration of parental rights in public schools
- Health Care: Pray for wisdom in building a health care system that is able to address the needs in our province; for M.A.I.D. – continued support for our health care professionals
- Social Services: Pray for 9100 children in care; for our homelessness/housing situation; for the mental health challenges and addiction issues we are facing which are overwhelming our provincial and municipal infrastructure. Pray that God will place leaders in power who will understand His strategies in addressing these overwhelming issues.
Critical Election Issues
- Parental Rights – will Manitoba follow suit with Sask. and NB to support parents rights regarding gender and pronoun issues at school?
- M.A.I.D – currently MB permits medical professionals to opt out of participating medical assistance in dying based on personal conscious.
- Independent Schools and Homeschooling – currently MB supports alternative forms of education to public schools.
