We spend so much time and energy on developing our skills for our careers and hobbies, but often our most important asset doesn’t get much attention. Consider setting aside time, energy and effort for your marriage relationship. You will be glad you did!
“The Marriage Course started good conversations and allowed us to discuss topics
that we simply would not start on our own.” – Marriage Course Participant
Albright Church believes in and affirms marriage and the Marriage Course is just one way which we are actively investing in the marriages around us. Marriage is foundational for our church, children and community, and we encourage couples to make an investment in their marriages. This includes couples with a strong relationship and those who are struggling, those who are newly married and those who have been married for a 30-40-50 or more years. Every marriage can be made better.
“The Marriage Course provided practical strategies and activities to help
move our marriage in a positive direction.” – Marriage Course Participant
The Marriage Course provides eight ‘date night’ evenings in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. There is no group discussion and you will never be asked to share anything from your private discussion. As a couple attending, you are encouraged to set aside these evenings to focus just on you, your spouse and your relationship.
“We enjoyed the special care and concern shown to us. We felt cared for!”
– Marriage Course Participant
The evening begins with a romantic candle-lit dinner for two, complete with music and privacy. After dinner you will be presented a different practical topic to help with discussions between the two of you. The materials used are from the Alpha Marriage Course and topics include:
• understanding each other’s needs;
• communicating more effectively;
• growing closer through resolving conflict;
• healing the ways you’ve hurt each other;
• recognizing how your upbringing affects your relationship;
• improving relationships with parents and in-laws;
• developing greater sexual intimacy;
• discovering each other’s love languages and much, much more!
There is a discussion book included with a number of exercises and questions to help guide the conversation between just the two of you/
“I would highly recommend this course to couples wanting to build on their marriage.”
